Terms and Conditions
Rental Rate for violin 1/10th and smaller is $25/month. This includes insurance.
Rental Rate for violin 1/8th and larger is $35/month. This includes insurance.
Rental Rate for viola is $40/month. This includes insurance.
Rental Rate for cello is $65/month. This includes insurance.
A credit card will be billed automatically each month. Please note that reminders are not sent out before the card is charged.
There is no minimum monthly commitment to rent!
The rental instrument comes insured with a case, bow, “easy-to-tune” pegs, rosin, microfiber cloth, and shoulder rest/rockstop.
If you are renting 1/8th, 1/10th, or 1/16th size, please consult your teacher if you will need a shoulder rest
Insurance covers basic maintenance and playability of the instrument.
Insurance covers stolen instruments with proof of police report.
Insurance does not cover new strings or excessive damages due to neglect or misuse. The renter is fully responsible for these costs. Please refer to instrument care instructions for more information on how to properly care for your rental.
If you travel by airplane with your rental instrument, you assume responsibility for all damages that may occur. We do not recommend traveling by air with your rental instrument.
Please notify the shop of any changes of address, email, phone number, etc.
Wittner pegs are installed on all rental instruments 1/8 size and above. This is especially beneficial for beginning students to learn to tune independently at home. More information on Wittner pegs can be found here. Teachers will appreciate this benefit and the student will have an easier time learning because of it.

Exchange to buy
Looking to buy your own instrument? Put your rental credit toward your purchase! Rental payments can be used toward an instrumental purchase for up to 50% of the value of instrument being purchased.
Accrued rental equity ends thirty days after the rental is returned. This means you have thirty days to make a decision on your instrument purchase, giving you time for trial periods and decision making.
